Kafunda's default onboarding is router-to-cloud. It is designed for real operators whose routers sit behind NAT, CGNAT, LTE links, or changing public addresses.

Create organisation

Step 1

Create a MikroTik site

Name the location — Kafunda sets up everything the router needs, with no manual network configuration.

Step 2

Run the generated RouterOS script

One paste. The router builds its own secure tunnel to Kafunda, connects, and installs the captive portal.

Step 3

Wait for activation

The router's secure tunnel connects to Kafunda and the site comes online — nothing else to configure.

Step 4

Open paid access

Voucher redemptions and mobile money purchases grant customers access instantly.

Secure by default

Diagnostics and management run over the router's secure tunnel — nothing is exposed to the public internet.

HotSpot portal

The router redirects unauthenticated customers to the Kafunda captive portal to buy or sign in.

Walled garden

Setup allows the portal and Kafunda pages so customers can reach them before they have paid.
